Epiduo (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide) Gel
Epiduo™ Gel is a prescription-only medication used for acne treatment.
Epiduo™ Gel combines two active ingredients (0.1% adapalene and 2.5% benzoyl peroxide) into one new, convenient treatment. Adapalene is topical retinoid that is one of the most commonly used and effective treatments for acne that helps to clear clogged pores (comedones) and reduce inflammation. Benzoyl peroxide fights the acne-causing bacteria p. acnes.
Combined in Epiduo™ Gel, these two medications provide an effective and safe treatment option for acne.
Epiduo™ Gel may be recommended to bring acne under control and for long-term maintenance to prevent acne flares.
Epiduo™ Gel is applied to the skin once each day, usually at night. Follow your doctor's instructions when using Epiduo™ Gel.
Do not stop using Epiduo™ Gel without first alerting your doctor for further instructions.
