Cosmetic Dermatology

Cosmetic dermatology uses the science of medicine and advances in dermatology to provide treatment options that improve a person's appearance.

While medical dermatology and surgery focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skin disease, cosmetic dermatology focuses on shaping the appearance of the skin. Some people may seek to alter the effects of aging, such as the wrinkles and age spots that appear with passing years. Others may have medical skin problems with cosmetic implications that warrant treatment

All patients that wish to “look good” are part of the practice of cosmetic dermatology.
