Arnold D. Gale, M.D., FAAP received his A.B. summa cum laude from Stanford University in 1971 and his M.D. from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1976. He completed his residency in pediatrics at The Massachusetts General Hospital and in child neurology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. From 1982 to 1989, he was the Director of Postgraduate Education for the Department of Neurology at Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
