What is a Physiatrist?
A physiatrist is a doctor who specializes in rehabilitation after injury, illness, or disabling conditions, such as amputations, arthritis, brain and spinal cord injuries, osteoporosis, stroke, pregnancy, and work-related injuries. Their goal is to decrease pain and enhance performance without surgery.
